Early
Life:
Born and raised in Kensington, London. Gatt first got the acting bug
when his Maltese parents took him to see Star Wars at the age
of 8 and he decided to be Han Solo when he was older! He began
his professional training at Sylvia
Young Theatre School and then followed that with a 3 year acting
and music theatre course at the Mountview
Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating with a degree.
Career:
Actor
After a UK national tour of Great Expectations with Brian
Glover, Gatt began shooting his first film role in Greece, playing
opposite Oliver Reed, in Orpheus & Eurydice. He
then returned to London to perform in Miss
Saigon, produced by Cameron Macintosh. This was followed
by various Film, TV and Theatre roles including Bill & Ted’s
Excellent Musical Adventures, Jesus Christ Superstar produced
by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Being April & 999
Rescue for the BBC, The hero figure in a Sonique
music video, Hallmark Channels Jason And The Argonauts, Plunkett
& Maclean, then appearing as himself, being interviewed on
Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast and the BBC’s
Top Of The Pops 2. Just before leaving the UK he played the leading
role of Len Miller opposite Chris Ellison in The Bill.
Straight
after stepping off the plane in Los Angeles, Gatt just missed out on the leading role of 'Silas' in The DaVinci Code. This didn't hold him back for long as he soon went on to land a leading role
in the SciFi Channel TV show Saurian, A leading role
in Killing
Ariel and then a leading role opposite Kristen
Bell in Wes Craven’s horror, Pulse.
Most recently, Gatt played a leading role in Mary Lambert's modern vampire, horror Dark Path Chronicles
Gatt has also performed leading roles as a motion capture actor and has been interviewed several times as one of the most sought after 'MoCap' performers in the video game industry. He is most famous for playing 'Kratos' in God Of War and God Of War II, Sony Computer Entertainment's multi-award winning playstation franchise. Gatt has recently begun work on 'God Of War III' for the PS3, due for release in December 2009.
Gatt's other recent titles include Metal Gear Solid 4, Lair, SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo 2, 24:The Game, Sniper Elite and Driver 2 & 3.
Model
Gatt has also sustained a successful career as a model in Europe and
the UK working for British Telecom, Levi’s Dockers
Jeans, Northern Rock, Kenzo, Araldite,
Gucci and Guess jeans for billboard campaigns, runway
shows and magazines including Uomo Vogue, Axiom, Loaded,
Vogue UK and Entrepreneur. His modeling highlight
so far is working for Giorgio Armani during Milan fashion week.
